Who we are

TbilisiExperts is an independent guide to professional services in Tbilisi, Georgia. The site is operated by [OPERATING ENTITY — legal name and registered address to be supplied], which is the data controller for the processing described below. You can reach us at hello@tbilisiexperts.ge.

What we collect

Reading the site

Nothing identifying. There is no login, no newsletter sign-up, no comment system and no contact form anywhere on this site. You can read every ranked list, guide and page without giving us anything.

Messaging us on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is our primary contact route. When you use it we receive your phone number, the display name on your WhatsApp profile, and whatever you write in the message — including any attachment you choose to send.

That conversation is carried by WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms, not by us. Your phone number and the content of your messages pass through, and are stored on, Meta’s infrastructure under Meta’s own privacy policy and terms — including any transfer of that data outside Georgia. We do not control that processing and cannot switch it off. If you would rather not use it, email us instead.

Emailing us

If you write to hello@tbilisiexperts.ge — typically to suggest a company or request a correction — we receive your email address, your name if your account supplies one, and the content of the message. Mail is handled by our email provider on our behalf.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless. It sets no cookies, no advertising identifiers and no cross-site tracking identifiers, and it does not build a profile of you across websites. That is why this site shows no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to. What we see is aggregate: page paths, referring site, country, browser and device type, and counts. We cannot identify an individual reader from it.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs for analytics or marketing.

Why we process it

• To read and reply to your message, and to act on a correction or a suggestion you send us.
• To keep an audit trail of corrections, so that a change to a ranked list can be traced to the evidence that prompted it.
• To understand which pages are read, in aggregate, so we know which lists to re-check first.
• To keep the site available and defend it against abuse.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running an editorial site and answering the people who write to it, and — where you started the conversation — the steps you asked us to take.

Who else sees it

• Meta Platforms — as the operator of WhatsApp, for any message sent that way.
• Our email provider — for anything sent to hello@tbilisiexperts.ge.
• Vercel — hosting and cookieless analytics.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not pass your message to the firms we write about unless you explicitly ask us to introduce you. Some of these providers operate outside Georgia, so using either contact route involves an international transfer.

How long we keep it

• Correspondence — WhatsApp threads and email are kept for up to 24 months from the last message, then deleted. Where a message led to a published correction, we keep a minimal record of what was changed and when, without the sender’s contact details.
• Analytics — aggregate only, retained no longer than our provider’s standard window. It is never linked to a person.
• Server logs — retained by the host on their standard short rolling window.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Because we hold very little, most of these requests are quick. Write to hello@tbilisiexperts.ge and we will reply within 30 days.

Data held inside WhatsApp itself is subject to Meta’s own controls — deleting a thread on our side does not delete Meta’s copy, and you should use their tools for that.

Children

This site is written for adults arranging professional services. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this notice

If we change how any of this works, we update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be summarised here rather than buried in a rewrite.
